The Arts Society Southport

The Arts Society is a leading arts education charity with a global network of local societies which bring people together through a shared curiosity for the arts.

Our events provide welcoming places to hear expert lecturers share their specialist knowledge about the arts.

We preserve and contribute to our artistic heritage through volunteering and grants.

Our strength is our people, joined together by a passion for the arts which can nourish and empower us all. Our work creates a better, healthier and more connected society.

The Southport society was founded in 1970 and is a member of the Arts Society (TAS). The aim of the society is to promote, support and foster enjoyment and understanding of the arts through monthly lectures and voluntary work in the local community. Locally we arrange day visits, short tours, home and abroad and study days which contribute to a varied programme.

Our Vision

The belief that the arts have the potential to enrich peoples' lives is at the heart of everything we do. We want to be the most inclusive and influential arts society.
